Pre-launch notice. EME is currently operating as a travel-planning tool with third-party affiliate booking flows, operated by EME International SARL, a company registered in Lebanon. The sections below describe the booking conditions that will apply to first-party package sales once EME is registered as a package travel organiser in the EU and insolvency protection is in place. Until then, no contract for package travel is formed through this site and package payments are disabled — the checkout for deposits and balances is switched off, not merely unadvertised.
These terms are entered into between you (the "Customer" or "Traveller") and:
For package travel sold under these conditions, EME acts as organiserwithin the meaning of Article 3 of EU Directive 2015/2302 and the applicable national package-travel law, and is liable to the Customer for the proper performance of every travel service in the package, regardless of which supplier delivers it. EME does not describe itself as a "platform" or "intermediary" for package travel; that designation is reserved for the third-party affiliate flows referenced in section 11.
These terms govern two distinct services:
By using the website you accept sections 11–16. By booking a package you additionally accept sections 3–10.
Before any package booking becomes binding, EME provides:
Any change to this information before contract conclusion will be communicated to you clearly and prominently.
A package travel contract is formed when EME confirms your booking in writing (a durable medium — typically email). At or immediately after that confirmation, you will receive a copy of the contract including all pre-contractual information from section 3.
Deposit and balance schedule:
You are entitled to transfer the package travel contract to a person who satisfies all the conditions applicable to the contract, provided you give EME reasonable notice on a durable medium and no later than seven (7) days before departure. The transferor and transferee are jointly and severally liable for payment of the balance and any reasonable additional fees, charges, and costs arising from the transfer, which EME will document and evidence. This is an Article 9 right under Directive 2015/2302 and cannot be waived.
The price stated in the contract may only be increased after booking if all of the following are met:
If the price increase exceeds 8% of the total package price, you may terminate the contract without paying a termination fee and receive a full refund within 14 days, or accept a substitute package of equivalent or higher quality if EME offers one.
Symmetric price reduction. Where any of the cost factors above falls during the period between contract conclusion and departure, you are entitled to a corresponding price reduction. EME may deduct actual administrative expenses from the refund and will provide evidence of those expenses on request.
You may cancel the package travel contract at any time before departure. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The cancellation date is the date EME receives your written notice. EME will charge an appropriate and justifiable termination fee, calculated by reference to the time between cancellation and departure and to the expected cost savings and income from alternative use of the travel services. The default schedule is:
| Days before departure | Refund of total package price |
|---|---|
| More than 60 days | Full refund |
| 30 – 60 days | 50% refund |
| 15 – 29 days | 25% refund |
| Fewer than 15 days | No refund |
On request, EME will provide the cost-basis justification for the applicable termination fee. Refunds owing under this section are paid without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of cancellation.
You may cancel the contract without paying any termination fee if:
In each case, EME will refund all payments without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of cancellation.
EME may cancel the package and refund all payments to you without compensation if:
All refunds under this section are made within 14 days. EME is not liable for additional compensation in these specific circumstances.
EME holds insolvency protection covering refund of all payments made by or on behalf of travellers, and — where carriage of passengers is included — repatriation of travellers, in the event of EME's insolvency. Insolvency protection is provided by:
If EME becomes insolvent and travel services are not performed as a consequence, you may contact the insurer directly using the claims contact above. The protection covers customer prepayments, repatriation if transport is included in the package, accommodation pending return, and the unused value of any gift certificates.
EME is liable for the performance of every travel service included in the package, regardless of which supplier delivers it. If a travel service is not performed in accordance with the contract (a "lack of conformity"), please notify EME without undue delay using the contact details in section 1. EME will remedy the lack of conformity unless this is impossible or entails costs disproportionate to the extent of the lack of conformity and the value of the affected services.
Where a significant proportion of the travel services cannot be provided as agreed in the contract, EME will offer suitable alternative arrangements at no extra cost — of equivalent or higher quality where possible. You are entitled to a price reduction for any period of non-conformity, and to compensation for damages caused by the lack of conformity, unless the lack is attributable to you, an unconnected third party, or unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.
If unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances make it impossible to ensure your return as agreed in the contract, EME will bear the cost of necessary accommodation in equivalent or higher category for a period not exceeding three nights per traveller (longer where other Union passenger-rights regulations apply).
Assistance. EME provides appropriate assistance to travellers in difficulty without undue delay — including information on health services, local authorities, consular assistance, and assistance with making distance communications and finding alternative travel arrangements. EME may charge a reasonable fee for that assistance if the difficulty is caused intentionally or negligently by the traveller.
Where EME pays compensation, grants a price reduction, or otherwise satisfies a claim from a Customer, EME retains the right to seek redress from any third party that contributed to the event giving rise to that claim, in accordance with Article 22 of Directive 2015/2302. This does not affect your rights under these conditions.
The website may integrate with or link to third-party services including map providers, flight search (Aviasales / Travelpayouts), and authentication services. Bookings made via those third-party widgets are sold under the third party's own terms and EME is not the trader, organiser, or merchant of record for those transactions. Where EME nonetheless surfaces those services as part of a Linked Travel Arrangement within the meaning of Article 3(5) of Directive 2015/2302, EME will provide the corresponding pre-contractual information at the point of sale.

Alternative Dispute Resolution. Consumers resident in the European Union may refer unresolved disputes to the consumer dispute resolution body in their country of residence. Consumers in any EU member state may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
These conditions and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them are governed by applicable law. Disputes may be submitted to the competent courts, without prejudice to either party's right to seek interim relief in any competent court or to enforce a judgment in any jurisdiction where the other party has assets. The governing law and forum will be confirmed once EME's corporate structure is finalised.
Where you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU member state, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence (Rome I Article 6), and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence (Brussels Ia Articles 17–19).
